Honoring 100 for the 100th: Alice Blue
Alice Blue, MSW, has organized and led many key community-based youth and neighborhood initiatives engaging schools, families, nonprofit organizations and community groups. She has been with CSC since 1989. She has conducted overall administration of prevention initiatives addressing youth violence and delinquency, positive youth development, neighborhood coalition building, specialized services to immigrant populations, prisoner re-entry, and health promotion. She supervises a team of prevention planners and coordinators, and oversees the implementation of multiple grants. Alice serves as co-chair of the East Tulsa Prevention Coalition, a community anti-drug coalition to help promote the health and well-being of youth and families in East Tulsa. She is co-director of the Center for Community Research and Development, a coordinated effort with the University of Tulsa to address complex social issues. She has also served as Chair of the City of Tulsa Human Rights Commission, and is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma’s graduate school of Social Work. Alice has a Master’s of Social Work from the Wurzweiler School at Yeshiva University, and is a Certified Prevention Specialist.
