Members of the School are presenting at the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) National Conference 2015, January 14-18, in New Orleans. SSWR is the premier national conference for social work research. Ricky Munoz, JD, MSW and Knee Center research assistant Kara Brunk, MPH are presenting their research findings on the topics of mindfulness and hope (poster pdf). Lisa Byers, PhD, Ricky Munoz, and Kara Brunk are also presenting their research findings on predictors of parenting stress among custodial American Indian grandparents (poster pdf).
Shane Brady, PhD is also presenting at the SSWR National Conference 2015 as a panel expert on incorporating community labor issues into social work research, along with a paper presentation regarding his efforts in developing a successful mentorship program for new social work instructors which he developed at the University of Michigan.
