Honoring 100 for the 100th: Katherine Hudson

Katherine Kaufman Hudson is recognized as a Friend of the School of Social Work Professional. Ms. Hudson’s professional career was closely intertwined with the University of Oklahoma’s School of Social Work. A graduate of the New York School of Social Work at Columbia University, Ms. Hudson was associated with OU from 1949 until her retirement. A faculty member of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, she was a model for medical students, psychiatry residents, clinical psychology interns, and students in other disciplines. Health Sciences Center placements were actively sought by OU social work students. Her demeanor and expertise achieved true interdisciplinary status for social work.

I was honored to know Catherine well I was doing my practicum at the OU health science Center, many years ago. I remember her being gracious, knowledgeable, and very invested in our student education.
