New Faculty


We are so pleased to have Megan Gandy-Guedes join us as an Assistant Professor on the Norman campus. Dr. Gandy-Guedes' substantive area of interest is LGBTQ populations, focusing primarily on mental health and service use, faith communities and social support, and social justice issues. She has over six years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, and adults in service settings such as inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, in-home intensive therapy, case management, and residential care, and has an LCSW credential in North Carolina. Dr. Gandy-Guedes' teaching philosophy uses a student-centered approach and incorporates aspects of transformative learning, constructivist pedagogy, social justice, and diversity. Ricky Munoz also joins us as Assistant Professor on the Tulsa campus. Munoz has been a member of the Tulsa faculty for a number of years, and we are glad to have him in this new position. Ricky’s scholarship work includes work in the importance of hopeful thinking to client’s a local area non-profits, along with community engaged research efforts centering on health with homeless youth and other vulnerable populations.
