Haruv USA is offering training programs that use social simulations in order to train professionals in the field of child abuse and neglect. The simulation training takes place in the new and innovative Schusterman Pediatric Social Simulation Center in the Tandy Education Center at OU-Tulsa.
Any simulation training is recorded and includes a debriefing process. The debriefing is a discussion based on a video the participants watch of themselves with the client where they receive feedback from their colleagues and instructors. In order to be instructor in this process one has to master the content of child abuse and neglect but also needs to be familiar with the simulation and debriefing process.
Pictured is a recent debriefing training. The participants were social work and nursing faculty as well as employees at various social service agencies that work with children. The training included an opportunity to experience the ‘trainee side’ of simulation and debriefing technique and technology.
