Celeste Prose: Stress

So, the thing that has been taking over my brain this past week is stress. I thought I would give myself a break and write about it in the hopes that its grip on me will loosen, and allow me to continue functioning in a semi-normal fashion. Being overwhelmed is not fun.

I know that we all go through these feelings of running out of time, feeling inadequate, stupid, and unmotivated…but sometimes when I’m deep in these feelings I tend to forget that others have them too. So I really just want to remind you all that you’re not alone when you get stressed and feel like there’s no way you can finish that paper, make time for your significant other, take care of your children/animals/dependent beings, sleep and eat, and still have time to just breathe and be you.

We’re almost halfway through the semester, and you can do it! Sometimes that’s what I need to hear, so I hope it helps you too! We are smart, we are capable, we are social workers! Don’t let the stress take over, and take some time to just be you.
